ETS Annual Opening Ceremony 2018

Everyone is warmly invited to attend the Opening Service on Monday 3rd September which will formally mark the beginning of the Academic Year here at Edinburgh Theological Seminary.

This year’s Opening Service will take place at 7.30 pm in St Columba’s Free Church of Scotland, Johnston Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2PW.

The service will be chaired by the Principal, Rev Iver Martin, and it is our privilege to have Dr Alistair Wilson, who heads up the ETS Centre for Mission, giving the opening address.

Alistair is lecturer in New Testament and Mission at Edinburgh Theological Seminary. He has a key role in helping to coordinate the exciting new developments at the ETS Centre for Mission.

We are always truly grateful to the Lord for the number of students who have either begun or are continuing their theological studies at ETS in this new session. Making provision for this has been both exciting and challenging.

A Time of Fellowship and Encouragement

We do hope that you will be able to join us on the evening as the presence of supporters and friends is always a huge encouragement to all who work at ETS, as well as to present and incoming students. This service offers a time for mutual fellowship before the busy work of the new session begins.

Please pray that staff and students would know the directing hand of God as they continue to prepare for a life-long mission of serving the Lord.
