Scottish Theology Reading Forum
Online Forum – Open to All
Engage with Scotland’s rich theological heritage through shared reading and discussion. The Forum offers an opportunity to explore a significant historic work in conversation with others, and to consider its relevance for the church today.
Applications for the 2026–27 academic session will open once the timetable is confirmed.
The Scottish Theology Reading Forum is a new addition to the MTh (taught) in Scottish Church History and Theology.
The Reading Forum forms part of the MTh’s annual seminar programme and will meet from January to March each year.
The forum is intended for anyone with an interest in Scottish Theology. Alongside current MTh SCHT students, it is open to ETS Alumni, wider friends of the Seminary, and established scholars in both the UK and overseas. It can serve as a taster for those who may be considering postgraduate studies at ETS, as well as an opportunity for continued study, discussion and connection for alumni.
Each session will begin with a brief introduction followed by guided discussion. Participants will be given reading to complete in advance.
