The ETS postgraduate seminar programme is now paused for a few weeks over Christmas and new year. We have enjoyed numerous fascinating presentations and stimulating discussions during the first half of the academic session. As the next seminar is early in January 2026, this is advance notice of the details so you can put them in your diary.
We are delighted that Professor Steve Walton has agreed to speak on Tuesday 6th January 2026 via Teams. His chosen topic is ‘Church planting in the book of Acts’. The seminar will begin at 2.15pm (GMT).
Professor Steve Walton is Senior Research Fellow in New Testament of Trinity College, Bristol. He has published extensively in New Testament studies, especially on Luke and Acts, including the first volume (of three) of the Word Biblical Commentary on Acts (Zondervan Academic, 2024), Reading Acts Theologically (T&T Clark, 2023), and a widely-used textbook, Exploring the New Testament, vol. 1: The Gospels and Acts, co-authored with David Wenham (3rd ed., IVP-USA, 2021).
