The next postgraduate seminar of the 2025–26 academic session will be held on the afternoon of Tuesday 2nd December between 2.15pm and 3.45pm (GMT).
This will be available both in person in the ETS Centre for Mission room (on the top floor of the ETS building) and online via Microsoft Teams.
The speaker (who will join us via video call) will be Dr Cornelia van Deventer. Dr Van Deventer is the Academic Dean of the South African Theological Seminary. She obtained her PhD in New Testament from Stellenbosch University in 2018 on the Gospel of John. Her research focus centres on the literary dimensions of Johannine literature (John’s Gospel; John’s Letters; Revelation) and the intended rhetorical effect on the reader or hearer. Dr Van Deventer will speak on the following subject: ‘Speaking, Seeing, Sending: The Holy Spirit in John’s Revelation’. All are welcome to join this seminar.
