The next postgraduate seminar of the 2025–26 academic session will be held on the afternoon of Tuesday 14th October between 2.15pm and 3.45pm (BST). This will be available both in person in the ETS Centre for Mission room (on the top floor of the ETS building) and online via Microsoft Teams.
The speaker (who will join us in person) will be Dr Jonathan Downie. Dr Downie is a consultant church interpreter and interpreting researcher. He is the author of several books, including Multilingual Church (William Carey, 2024). You can find out more about his work at the following web site: https://integritylanguages.co.uk/.
Dr Downie will speak on the following subject: ‘Multilingual Church: Where Theology, Interpreting Studies, Sociology of Religion, and practice meet’. All are welcome to join this seminar.
