We are currently receiving applications for our Access to Theology Course.
This popular-level evening class, organised by Bob Akroyd, provides an accessible and comprehensive introduction to the essential foundations of a theological education.
This is a 24-week course of studies, well-pitched for anyone who wishes to extend and enrich their existing knowledge in order to grow in faith, to serve their local church more effectively and to be better prepared to give the reason for the hope that is in them.
With no formal entry requirements, the course is designed for the following people:
- Individuals from a variety of backgrounds who are seeking their first exposure to the world of theological education.
- Christians who would like to intellectually equip themselves for service in local and international church organisations.
- Prospective students who wish to gain a relevant entrance qualification to pursue further studies.
How is the course structured?
Access to Theology is delivered in Lecture Room 3 at ETS on Tuesday evenings between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm, between September and May. Students can can experience the benefits of meeting new people in a classroom set-up or, alternatively, can enjoy the flexibility of distance learning, making the course accessible to a wide range of students.

- Old Testament
- New Testament
- Systematic Theology
- Practical Theology
