Record Number of ETS Students Graduate from the University of Glasgow

There was a great sense of anticipation in the Bute Hall of the University of Glasgow on the afternoon of Tuesday 28th June 2022. The grand hall was filled with graduands who had completed their studies and who eagerly awaited the formal recognition of their achievement in the Ceremony of Graduation, supported by family and friends. Among the many graduands were representatives of each of the academic programmes offered by Edinburgh Theological Seminary and validated by the University of Glasgow.

At the kind invitation of the university, Dr Alistair Wilson represented ETS in the academic procession. Following the Ceremony of Graduation, the ETS graduates gathered together for a few minutes for some photographs before continuing their celebrations with family and friends.

Along with the students who were able to attend the event in person (seven BTh students and six MTh students), a significant number of ETS students received their degrees in absentia (eleven BTh students and three MTh students).

Dr Wilson commented, “It is a privilege to share this special day with our ETS graduates. All our graduates have worked very hard to gain their qualifications and we congratulate them on this significant achievement. We pray that the studies they have completed at ETS will help them to serve effectively wherever the Lord leads them in the future. We are also very grateful to our colleagues in the University of Glasgow who have been unfailingly supportive and professional in their dealings with ETS.”

Students and staff at ETS now look forward to the start of a new academic session in September and the prospect of further graduates during the year to come.
