The End of an Unusual Year

A message from the Principal at the end of an unusual and challenging year at Edinburgh Theological Seminary.

The online exams over the last two weeks marked the end of the most unusual and challenging year in living memory at ETS.  2020 has presented staff and students with many unforeseen issues as we have responded to the Covid19 pandemic. We have deeply appreciated the patience and goodwill amongst our students who have shown superb understanding.

Unfortunately, despite the optimism of a vaccine programme, we have had to make the decision that all classes will be once again conducted online throughout the forthcoming semester. Nonetheless, we pray that in the not too distant future we can go back to the kind of normality where we can interact meaningfully with students and other members of staff.

ETS students can now look forward to some well-earned rest over the Christmas and New Year period before resuming their studies towards the end of January 2021.

On behalf of the staff at ETS, we wish our students, their families and all our friends a joyful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
