Everyone is warmly invited to attend the Opening Service on Monday 5th September which will formally mark the beginning of the Academic Year here at Edinburgh Theological Seminary.

This year’s Opening Service will once again take place at 7.30pm in St Columba’s Free Church of Scotland, Johnston Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2PW.

The service will be chaired by Principal Iver Martin, and it is our privilege to have Andy Hunter (FIEC’s Scotland & North of England Director) delivering the opening address.

Before joining FIEC in November 2013, Andy worked for Greenview Church in Glasgow for nine years, prior to which he trained at Oak Hill College in London. He is married to Jessica and they have three children.

A Time of Fellowship and Encouragement

We hope that you will be able to join us on the evening as the presence of supporters and friends is always a huge encouragement to all who work at ETS, as well as to present and incoming students. This service offers a time for mutual fellowship before the busy work of the new session begins.

Please pray that staff and students would know the directing hand of God as they continue to prepare for a life-long mission of serving the Lord.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to live-stream this year’s Opening Service, but we would be delighted to welcome anyone who wishes to join us in-person.
