2020 MacMillan Lecture in Evangelism

We were delighted to hold the 2020 MacMillan Lecture in Evangelism at Edinburgh Theological Seminary.

The annual Lecture in Evangelism was inaugurated in 1994 in memory of the late Professor J. Douglas MacMillan.

This year’s lecture was held on Tuesday 28th January at 2.00pm in the Chalmers Hall and we were delighted to have Martin Povey as our guest lecturer.

Martin is an itinerant evangelist with the Association of Evangelists (aofe.org.uk).

He travels throughout the UK aiming to equip Christians to communicate and defend the gospel and to help those who don’t yet know Jesus hear the good news through evangelistic and apologetics events.

Martin lectures regularly at ETS for the Practical Theology department. His input to the life of the seminary and his fellowship in the gospel is greatly appreciated.

Claire (Martin’s wife) works with festive.org.uk resourcing students and staff to live out and share the gospel in Colleges and Sixth Forms. They have two young children and are based by the sea on the south coast of England.

You can access this lecture in Video on Youtube.
