‘Preaching the Gospel in a Tense World’: MacMillan Lecture in Evangelism 2015 with Kenny Macleod

The speaker this year was Rev Kenny Macleod who comes from the Isle of Scalpay in the Western Isles. After being in the building profession for several years, Kenny came to recognise God’s call to the ministry and was trained at Edinburgh Theological Seminary.

His first charge was in the beautiful rural setting of Carloway in the Isle of Lewis. He was subsequently called by the Dowanvale Free Church congregation in the heart of Glasgow.

With experience in both rural and urban mission, Kenny knows the importance of preaching the same gospel, but in very different environments.

Once again students and friends enjoyed a heart-warming lecture on evangelism as Kenny spoke on the theme of Preaching the Gospel in a Tense World.

This annual lecture was established in honour of Rev Professor Douglas MacMillan, a former lecturer at ETS (then the Free Church College), and a passionate evangelist himself.
